Shade of Light is book one in the Three Shades Trilogy. A new young adult dark fantasy series by Kimberly Grymes.

The special hardcover edition features the paperback cover design on the dust jacket. (The regular hardcover edition has a different cover than the paperback.)

The case cover design (the design under the dust jacket) is a simple, classic looking design with 'crow' detailing.

The color interior pages (rather than the standard black and white) has beautiful color chapter title pages and SIX pages with full character artwork.

Inside the book, right before the Acknowledgments section, is a QR code that allows you to listen to the 'Home for Me' song I co-wrote with Audrey Weatherstone just for this story.
